There is no reason you can't use luxury vinyl tile for wood look luxury vinyl (LVF). So let's break it down.
The flooring comes in two formats: One is a square, tile-sized piece. The other is a vinyl plank.
You are free to use the formats however you like. Many prefer plank for tile and stone looks because of the larger format.
When you’d use tile for a wood look
Many use the squares to emulate wood look tile. This is one of the hottest looks right now.
Another hot look is to use LVT for a checkerboard design with alternating patterns. For example, you might use a wood look tile with a decorative pattern in the "box" next to it.
The point is that your imagination only limits you!
High-definition photography, embossing, micro beveling
All cuts have the same features. Colors and vibrant and with patterns, you see every knot, swirl, and grain.
Just like vinyl plank, you have your choice of textures, including brushed, hand-scraped, and distressed. Embossed-in-register is a technique where little indentations are made to match the grains of the image exactly.
Can I use luxury vinyl plank for tile or stone?
Sure! The large format can make it look like a stone slab.
Right now, large format tiles are a trend. Plank fits this trend.
High functionality
Whether you choose squares or LVP, you'll have a durable, layered product. A top wear coating protects the floors from scratches, scuffs, and dents.
